Photo Archive: Washington DC

Washington Monument from Tidal Basin

These are old photographs taken with a simple Canon Powershot point-and-shoot with probably 12 megapixels from a blog I used to keep which has been defunct since 2015. But they capture some of my favorite views and spots of this great city and I think they're worth posting.

Although our history is not unmarred, what was created in this country is the closest to a perfect society as has ever existed.....and the sites along the National Mall, the Memorials and museums stand as a testament to that. What is past is prologue, and many civilizations before ours have fallen when citizens failed to act as stewards of the Nation. We are bound to preserve the greatness that is represented in this city or ours too will be lost.
